We live and play in this beautiful area and will treat you like family during your time with us.
The area surrounding Summersville Lake Retreat is an adventure lovers dream with some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Every day we serve as a base camp for adventurers who are climbing, boating, hiking, white water rafting, swimming, fishing, biking, taking photos, and exploring the area. Within a 15 mile radius of us we have all of that and more. We will help suggest some great things to do during your stay and you can still be back relaxing in our comfortable Adirondack chairs around your fire every night.
Want some great food or entertainment? We can help with that too. There are numerous fantastic restaurants, breweries, wineries, and ice cream shoppes in the area. Tell us what you are in the mood for and we will help steer you to the right spot.
If you are just looking to relax during your stay, our property expands beyond your spacious campsite or cabin with 57 acres of things to do from just taking a stroll with your dog to playing one of our numerous games such as cornhole, horseshoes, or table tennis. Your kids will love our giant wooden pirate ship and playground. And of course, some of the best views can be found by a visit to the top of our lighthouse. We aren’t done there, we have lots of projects underway in our constant endeavor to make this the best place you have ever stayed.
Cabins and full hookup RV sites open year-round. The shower house and standard site are open from mid April-November, depending on the weather. In 2025 Everything will be completely open on April 11th!
